With the help of JMP, a complex manufacturing process for new medical devices was created.
Laura Zambiachi is a Senior Filtering Material Specialist and Six Sigma Black Belt at the world's leading healthcare company, Fresenuis HemoCare. Her work requires extensive use of statistical methods. Every day, Ms. Zambiachi and her colleagues at Fresenius face the challenge of creating something completely new and innovative. Within a time frame and with a fixed budget.
Together with a team of engineers and project managers, some without experience with the statistical software JMP, a new manufacturing process for filters during leukocyte depletion, a crucial step in blood transfusions, was to be elaborated and validated. This brand new manufacturing model would allow integrating new and modern technologies. Ms. Zambiachi and her team had the task of developing an interface through which the enormous amount of data generated could be managed and evaluated for effectiveness and efficiency. Statcon was brought in as a consultant and provided the necessary know-how in practical training sessions and subsequent workshops. Our assigned consultant, Mr. Sebastian Hoffmeister formed a basic structure with Ms. Zambiachi's team:
