Bertram Schäfer

Bertram Schäfer is the owner and founder of STATCON GmbH (Statistical Consulting) based in Witzenhausen, Germany.
He has over 30 years of experience in various consulting segments in the fields of statistics, quality assurance (SPC, Industry 4.0), as well as research and development.
Mr. Schäfer studied Social Sciences at the University of Göttingen and represented the field of Statistics at the Department of Agricultural Sciences at the University of Kassel. He continues to work as a lecturer and author for the German Society for Quality (DGQ).
His main areas of activity at STATCON include consulting and training in Design of Experiments (DoE), SPC and Industry 4.0, Data Mining, and Six Sigma, as well as market research and econometrics.

– Board member of DeEnBis since 2007
– Member of the leadership team of DagSTAT since 2011
– Advisory board member of the Center for Statistics, University of Göttingen since 2013
Piet Frieler

Piet Frieler is a statistical consultant at STATCON.
He studied Computer Science and Statistics at the Universities of Kassel and Bamberg. As part of his master's thesis, he focused on Bayesian statistics and computationally intensive methods.
After gaining initial experience in a scientific evaluation project and a data science start-up, he now concentrates on consulting and teaching in the fields of Design of Experiments (DoE), data mining, and programming of data analyses as part of his role at STATCON.
At STATCON, Mr. Frieler conducts trainings, seminars, and interactive webinars for scientists and executives in the life sciences sector and industry.
Oliver Thunich

Oliver Thunich is a trainer and statistical consultant at STATCON.
He studied Statistics at the Technical University of Dortmund. Mr. Thunich also possesses extensive expertise in industrial statistics, Design of Experiments (DoE), Six Sigma, and clinical studies.
As part of his master’s thesis, he focused on nonparametric statistics and process capability analysis. After gaining experience in process optimization in industry, he now specializes at STATCON in consulting and teaching in the areas of experimental design, life sciences, and data analysis programming.
At STATCON, Mr. Thunich conducts consulting projects, as well as trainings, seminars, and interactive webinars for scientists and executives in the life sciences sector and industry.
Simone Gerle

Simone Gerle is a trainer at STATCON.
She studied Linguistics and Applied Statistics at the University of Göttingen. In her master’s thesis, she focused on the automated analysis of time series data from clinical psychology.
After gaining experience in experimental psycholinguistics and data mining, particularly in quantitative text analysis, she now focuses on teaching and consulting in the life sciences sector as part of her work at STATCON.
At STATCON, Ms. Gerle conducts trainings, workshops, and consulting sessions for scientists and executives in the life sciences field.
Prof. Dr. David Meintrup

Prof. Dr. David Meintrup is a professor of mathematics and statistics at the Faculty of Industrial Engineering at Ingolstadt University of Applied Sciences.
In addition to his academic teaching and research, he has worked for over 10 years as a trainer and consultant in statistics, particularly for the electrical industry as well as the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors.
David Meintrup studied mathematics at the University of Münster and the University of Colorado, USA. He is co-author of several textbooks on statistics.
Prof. Dr. Dr.-Ing. Johannes Buyel

Prof. Dr. Dr.-Ing. Johannes Buyel is an external trainer for STATCON GmbH with over 10 years of experience in the field of Design of Experiments (DoE).
He studied biotechnology in Aachen, Lund (Sweden), and Newark (Delaware, USA), and holds doctoral degrees in both plant biotechnology and bioprocess engineering.
He heads the Bioprocess Development Department at the Fraunhofer Institute for Molecular Biology and Applied Ecology IME, where his work focuses primarily on the modeling and optimization of multifactorial processes.
Boris Kulig

Boris Kulig is an external trainer for STATCON GmbH.
He studied Agricultural Sciences at the University of Kassel and Quality Management at the University of Applied Sciences Wismar.
After working for 15 years as a trainer and consultant at STATCON, he joined the University of Kassel, where he works in the Department of Agricultural Engineering. His responsibilities include Design of Experiments (DoE) and multivariate statistics in the post-harvest sector, as well as machine learning in sensor development for precision livestock farming.
He also lectures on Animal Husbandry Technology.
Prof. Dr. Achim Wübker

Prof. Dr. Achim Wübker is a professor of mathematics and statistics at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences.
He earned his doctorate in stochastics at the University of Göttingen and has been supporting companies with statistical consulting for many years.
Dr. Thomas Mühlenstädt

Dr. Thomas Mühlenstädt is an external trainer at STATCON, with a focus on statistics for simulations, machine learning, and Design of Experiments (DoE).
After studying and completing his PhD in statistics in Dortmund, he spent nearly 10 years working as an industrial statistician in the areas of engineering, R&D, and quality at a manufacturing company. He is currently employed as a Data Scientist at argo.ai, working on autonomous driving.
Alongside his professional work, Dr. Mühlenstädt pursues his passion for training through his collaboration with STATCON.
