DAGStat 2019
From March 18 to 22, 2019, the German Working Group on Statistics (DAGStat) invited statisticians from all over the world to its fifth conference on the LMU campus in Munich under the motto "Statistics under one Umbrella".

In total, more than 400 speakers presented their research results in various statistical disciplines at the DAGStat conference. The conference was led by keynote speaker Donald B. Rubin (Harvard University). STATCON was also present this year with Dr. Sebastian Schoneberg and Oliver Thunich. In the panel "Robust and Nonparametric Statistics" they presented the research results, which were developed in cooperation with the TU Dortmund University and the University of Ingolstadt, to the auditorium. The research work developed from an industrial problem. Confidence intervals for quantiles were developed, which lead to valid results without distribution and with small samples, so that the testing effort can be significantly reduced when testing materials and batches.
